The majority of art research in Iran often lacks methodological diversity, with studies falling into the trap of using repetitive terms like qualitative and analytical, resulting in limited outcomes. This study introduces the concept of triangulation, an approach largely overlooked in Iran. It aims to incorporate triangulation into art studies, enriching and legitimizing research outcomes. The study explores the utility of methodological triangulation and its effective application, taking a significant step toward refining and strengthening future art research. The investigation arises from the unfamiliarity with and underutilization of methodological triangulation in Iranian art research, offering a fresh avenue for meticulous examination of results beyond existing standards. The research endeavors to answer these questions: What is the utility of employing methodological triangulation in art research? And how can this kind of methodology be effectively applied?
The findings highlight theoretical triangulation as the most beneficial form, involving the application of multiple theories for data analysis. This research seeks to enhance the credibility of art research in Iran by introducing a novel methodology, shedding light on its potential, and inspiring a more nuanced exploration of artistic phenomena. In summary, this study, spanning 200 to 250 words, underscores the importance of diversifying methodological approaches in Iranian art research, advocating for the adoption of triangulation to overcome current limitations and elevate the quality and comprehensiveness of artistic investigations.
