The Study of Ghasemabadi dance from the point of view of Emile Durkheim's social solidarity

Abstract

Keeping long standing traditions in the form of rituals requires the unity of society. Considering the main agricultural activities in Guilan province, people show the rituals of planting, sowing and harvesting through Ghasemabadi dance. the aim of this research is to answer the importance of Ghasemabadi dance to create solidarity. On this basis, Durkheim's correlation theory has been used, focusing on two mechanical and organic societies. Mechanical society is a reflection of the collective conscience and an organ based society represents the division of labor in that society. this research is theoretical in terms of its purpose and descriptive and content analysis in terms of its nature and research method. The method of data collection is library and field using the method of ethnography in the region, observation, interview, registration and recording of information. The findings of the research show that the rural lifestyle is imbued with social harmony and men and women come together to express gratitude for life's blessings through Ghasemabadi dance. today's society's tendency towards specialization has made people with special skills to be effective in society. the performance of Ghasemabadi dance brings together people with different abilities to form a group. In fact, after passing the principle of similarity in the previous society, people enter an organic system, the correct use of which depends on their solidarity. the performance of Ghasemabadi dance in this society requires commitment of the group members and their connection with other groups and as a result conveying feelings to the audience.
