Abstract

Urban spaces, as a cultural text, play a crucial role in creating cultural experiences and transmitting collective meanings. Tourism is a social phenomenon that is influenced by the interconnected cultural components of urban spaces, which has a significant impact on the vitality and creation of nostalgic feelings among individuals. The cultural-social functions of urban spaces, taking into account the reciprocal relationships between urban spaces and cultural elements, are an answer to the cultural needs of citizens, which can be achieved through a focus on urban spaces and cultural activities .As there is a multifaceted relationship between cultural Components and urban spaces, social changes and transformations have a direct impact on the functions. The research methodology is descriptive-analytical. After collecting primary data through field research, library research, and interviews with participants, the contents of urban spaces were analyzed using content analysis. The codes and categories were extracted from the data. The statistical population in this study includes three groups: local residents, tourists, and employees and officials from various sectors. To determine the sample size, both targeted sampling and theoretical sampling were used simultaneously. Sustainable urban development, which leads to social and cultural identity, will improve the quality of life for citizens. All factors will be made possible through changes and increasing awareness. In conclusion, in the framework of grounded theory, the cultural-social functions of tourism spaces lead to the re-creation of cultural identity, strengthening social relationships, which can help understand the deeper effects of tourism on culture and society.
