To this end, standard questionnaires were used to measure health literacy among blood donation center visitors in Tehran in 2024. The results of data analysis revealed that there is a significant relationship between health literacy comprehension, evaluation, decision-making, and the application of health information and participation in blood donation. The findings also indicated that social class and demographic variables such as age, gender, and residence significantly affect blood donation participation. Overall, individuals with higher health literacy are more likely to participate in blood donation due to increased awareness of its benefits and importance.
