In the current research, the effect of domestic and foreign media on social participation in the villages of the border regions of Kurdistan province was investigated. The research method is quantitative, applied in terms of purpose and cross-sectional in terms of time, which was used by survey and questionnaire technique. . The statistical population of all residents of the villages of Saqez, Baneh, Marivan and Sarovabad in Kurdistan province, which in 1401-1402, according to the 1395 census, was a total of 222,174 people. The sample size was calculated using Cochran's formula of 384 people, sampling was done based on classification and the number of samples was distributed based on the population share in each village and questionnaires were randomly distributed and data analysis was done using SPSS software. Became social participation variable. Processing, statistical analysis of information was done using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings show that there is a relationship between media performance and social participation. The value of this relationship is 0.405 and its direction is positive and statistically significant; Also, there is a significant relationship between internal media performance and social participation. But there is no significant relationship between the performance of foreign media and social participation. As a result, it can be concluded that the performance of internal media has a great effect on social participation.
