In the contemporary world, the novel has become a part of life and sometimes another aspect of life. In recent years, this literary genre in contemporary Arabic literature, under the influence of international writers, has gradually become a public medium that represents relatively hidden and sometimes damaged layers of life. Maghrebi writer, Mohammad Zafzaf, is one of the prominent writers in this field. The novel "Arsafah and Jadran" (Pedestrians and Walls) is one of his famous novels. The current research, with a descriptive-analytical method based on content analysis, has examined this novel which has socio-philosophical nuances and has tried to answer these questions: 1- Which social and cultural issues can affect decisions and behaviors Are the hero of the novel influential and lead to an identity crisis in his life? 2- What are the signs of identity crisis in the life of the hero of the novel and how is it represented. The results of the research show that the author of the novel, who was also a student of philosophy, has made the social-philosophical crisis of the young generation a tool for the processing of his novel, in order to destroy the destructive structures, processes and cultural patterns in the Maghreb society. subject to the analysis of readers.
