The aim of this study is to answer two questions: What are the dimensions of the effects of international wars on the structure, performance, and social role of sport? What are the components of each dimension of the effects of international wars on the structure, performance, and social role of sport? This study also responds to the development of the trend-setting literature governing politics and sport. The present study was conducted using the meta-synthesis method and the seven-step method of Sandelowski and Barroso (2009) to review 180 related qualitative studies. Based on the analyses conducted using the content analysis method and coding of the identified articles, 10 dimensions and 79 indicators of the applications of the Internet of Things in the sports industry were finally identified. Wars can cause changes in the policies of awards and rewards for athletes. Due to financial and economic constraints, cash awards may be reduced and non-cash rewards or special supports may be provided instead. These changes help maintain motivation and support for athletes. Also, media coverage of sports events during wartime may change. The media is providing more coverage of sporting events to boost national morale and promote messages of peace and solidarity. These changes include the use of new technologies for live broadcasts and special reports of matches. War conditions can change the number and type of spectators at sporting events. Due to security concerns and travel restrictions, spectators may be reduced and matches may be moved to safer locations.
